For all those who have been left unfulfilled with the books they have been given for Christmas, I am happy to say that Amazon UK has finally restocked with my book Into The Arena (click here), at a fraction above half the registered retail price, following its selling out after being longlisted, and then shortlisted, for the William Hill Sports Book of the Year Awards in November. For readers in the US, it is available at a similarly reasonable price from resellers of new editions at the main Amazon store (click here). Of course, if your Christmas present was a Kindle reader, then you get an even better deal on it as an eBook in the UK (click here) and, finally, in the US (click here).
Aside from being a finalist in “the world’s lonest established and mist valuable sports-writing prize”, and being listed in the six “most inspiring sports book for Christmas” by the Sunday Times (“like Hemingway, he drank deep of the culture and had the guts to take on a bull himself.”), and the top seven Sports books for Christmas by the Sunday Telegraph (“a compelling read, unusual for its genre, exalting the bullfight as pure theatre.”)… read on over at The Last Arena.
Wow! Congrats on all the kudos for the book! Now I guess I’ll have to read it (jejeje) – but I’m still awaiting my personally signed copy! Looking forward to seeing you in Sevilla if not before. I assume there’s no way we’ll see you stateside prior?
Thank you Pamela. Hoping to make it to New York to see a dear friend in a play in the Spring, but we will see. You know I’ll give your copy a fine dedication, but you have to get a copy first! Abs and Bss, Xander
